For many years, I have taught contemporary and ballet techniques. My first teaching job was at the Municipal School of Dance of Torrelodones in Madrid. After that, I moved to Querétaro as a dancer, teacher, and choreographer. After returning to Madrid, I worked for ACADE, an institution that offers exams in ballet, modern, and Spanish dance to obtain an Official Dance Title.
As a dance teacher in Germany, I continued to teach contemporary to dance enthusiasts, dance students, and professional dancers. Part of my work as a teacher is the project called PROFCAST.
PROFCAST is a complementary training tool based on guided improvisation for professional contemporary dancers and students. This type of training aims to provide a different training format to be in shape, avoid injuries, and keep a highly motivated mood between projects, and/or before auditions.
Each podcast it´s focused on aspects that dancers need, like strength, stamina, the practice of different improvisation tasks, or a guided warm-up. This does not substitute professional classes but offers freelance dancers a complementary training tool. The project was Funded by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media in the NEUSTART KULTUR programme, DIS-TANZEN aid programme of the Dachverband Tanz Deutschland. All the episodes could be found in Spotify, Souncloud or YouTube.
