PROFCAST

This approach to training led to PROFCAST, a project I developed in Germany to make contemporary dance training more accessible to freelance professional dancers.

PROFCAST offers training sessions through podcasts featuring guided improvisations and practices that can be done independently, anywhere and free of charge. The idea came from a specific need: to keep the body active between auditions, rehearsals and projects, even when there is no access to a studio or a regular training group.

Each episode responds to a specific need of the performer: developing strength or endurance, working with different improvisation prompts, exploring the relationship with space or following a guided warm-up.

PROFCAST is not intended to replace professional in-person training, but rather to offer an accessible complementary tool for those who need to keep working with their bodies during the transitional periods that are part of a freelance dancer's professional life.

The project received a grant from the NEUSTART KULTUR / DISTANZEN programme, initiated by Dachverband Tanz Deutschland.

All episodes are available free of charge on Spotify, SoundCloud and YouTube.
